1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate (also named as BMIMOTf) is a versatile ionic liquid commonly used in synthetic chemistry. It can also act as a promoter for the room temperature glycosylation of both thiophenyl and trichloroacetimidate glycoside donors.
